John Huenemann is a composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Columbus, OH. His music is typically informed by clarity and simplicity, influenced by minimalist and American pastoral sounds, as well as Renaissance and early Baroque-era music. His recent work Wax Argument was premiered at the Region VI conference of the Society of Composers, Inc. in Arlington, TX. In 2016, Huenemann joined percussionist and fellow composer Zach Koors in founding the keyboard and percussion duo /rhythmos. Huenemann holds a BMus in Composition and Theory from Heidelberg University, and an MM in composition from The Ohio State University, where he was a performer with the OSU New Music Collective. Huenemann's works have been performed by a number of different artists, including violinist Ioana Galu, the Generous Ensemble, *a very small consortium*, and the Palomar Ensemble.
